happy birthday linz.
this is linzy.
i met her in 1st grade. we played tag on the playground. she bumped her head and got a wicked bump on her eyebrow. don't worry, she's okay now. then we took over the swings a couple years later. in sixth grade we guarded the "little kids" from falling off the playground where our slide was burnt down. honestly, what kind of a jerk burns down an elementary school slide?! probably a seventh grader. we were good dancers and singers and everything-elsers. freshman year we decided that between the two of us, we know everything on earth. we were so cool. now however we're dorks... it's okay. i'm so over being cool. she cares about the world and kids she's never seen, like most of my good friends. she's wild and free. but mellow and collected.
this is linzy's cupcake. it was 3 dollars, and only worth half that. but it was her birthday and she's worth one billion dollars. no. one MILLION dollars. :) heh heh. kidding.

spend 8 minutes here. it's beautiful.
I heard Jon Schmidt live at EFY once, I think. He rolled his grand piano into a gym and just played for a bunch of high school kids. He said that when he was in high school, he was just some dorky guy who could play the piano and it helped him catch the eye of the most beautiful girl in school. His wife.
the BEST thing you've never read.
Letters to a Young Poet.

It's so beautiful and thoughtful that you will scarcely believe a person could have written it.
